Peer Feedback

I have received valuable feedback from my peers following my Pitch 1 presentation, and there are several insightful suggestions that I intend to incorporate into the development of my advert. One key point that resonated with me is the recommendation to include the questionnaire and primary student interview results in my pitch. This addition will not only provide a more comprehensive view of my project but also strengthen the credibility of my approach by incorporating direct input from the target audience.

Another significant area of improvement highlighted by my peers is the need for a more detailed and thorough explanation of the project brief. By expanding on the project's objectives, scope, and the challenges it aims to address, I can ensure that my audience gains a comprehensive understanding of the context and importance of the advert.

In my pursuit of refining my video pitch, I found it immensely helpful to review the video pitches made by teachers. Analysing their approaches, delivery, and how they effectively conveyed their messages has provided me with valuable insights and strategies to enhance my own presentation.

Incorporating the feedback from my peers, supplementing my pitch with the questionnaire and primary student interview results, and providing a more detailed explanation of the project brief will not only improve the overall quality of my video pitch but also ensure that it resonates more effectively with my target audience. Reviewing the teachers' video pitches further compliment these efforts, helping me craft a more compelling and engaging presentation.

Feedback and improvement

In my initial video pitch, I made enhancements by incorporating both secondary research findings and insights from primary student interviews. Looking ahead, my focus for improvement in the upcoming video pitch centers around integrating more expressive body language. Specifically, I plan to enhance my presentation by incorporating frequent smiles and adopting a more animated tone. This adjustment aims to captivate the audience and prevent any potential boredom, ensuring a more engaging and dynamic delivery in my final video pitch.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy walking through the mall heading to the electronics shop, so I decided to show an extreme close-up shot so that the scene is more intriguing. The movement in the shot is static but at a ground level. This shot was not ideal to be used for the real advert because the boy’s pace was too fast to use in the video.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy grabbing the earbuds to try it, so I decided to show an extreme close-up shot so that it’s clearer that the boy is grabbing the earbuds. The movement in the shot is static. This shot was ideal to be used for the real advert because the scene is clear that he is grabbing the earbuds to try them on.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy picking up the ‘IntelliSound buds’ to try it on, so I decided to show an extreme close-up shot so that its clear when the boy is picking the earbuds up. The movement in the shot is static. This shot was not ideal to be used for the real advert because the boy’s hand was covering the camera slightly.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy receiving the ‘IntelliSound buds’ with his card that he used to pay for it, so I decided to show a close-up shot so that it shows the boy receiving it which makes the advert more intriguing. The movement in the shot is static. This shot was ideal to be used for the real advert.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy walking inside the electronics shop, so I decided to show a long shot so that the scene conveys a mysterious shop which increases the level of curiosity and anticipation in the audience. The movement in the shot is static. This shot was not ideal to be used for the real advert because the young boy stopped halfway which didn’t complete the scenes.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy trying the earbuds, so I decided to show a close-up shot so that it shows the boy placing the earbuds in his ears. The movement in the shot is static. This shot was ideal to be used for the real advert.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy trying the ‘IntelliSound buds’ and reacting, so I decided to show a close-up shot so that it shows the boy placing the earbuds in his ears. The movement in the shot is static. This shot was not ideal to be used for the real advert because his reaction was too quick, and he wasn’t facing the camera.

In this shot I focused on the scene of the boy using the ‘IntelliSound buds’ years later, so I decided to show an over the shoulder shot to show that the boy liked the earbuds and still uses it years later. In this shot the camera is moving upwards. This shot was not ideal to be used for the real advert because I didn’t like how the camera was moving side ways.
