Initial idea
My TV commercial features 'IntelliSound buds,' a type of earbuds that automatically adjusts the volume within your ears based on your surroundings. In the advertisement, I will use different camera shots, including close-ups, extreme close-ups and long shots to show these earbuds in action.

The story line follows a child model as he walks through a shopping mall. The model stops in front of an electronics shop and then explores the earbuds section. He picks up random earbuds and tries them out, but none seem quite right. Finally, he tries the "IntelliSound buds" and is pleasantly surprised. We capture the model's reaction, and then fast forward to him using the same earbuds years later. The commercial ends with a montage showcasing the features and benefits of the 'IntelliSound buds.'

Initial idea vs Final product
At first the initial idea of my advert was that it first begins with a child model walking through a shopping mall. The model stops in front of an electronics shop and then explores the earbuds section. He picks up random earbuds and tries them out, but none seem quite right. Finally, he tries the "IntelliSound buds" and is pleasantly surprised. We capture the model's reaction, and then fast forward to him using the same earbuds years later. The commercial ends with a montage showcasing the features and benefits of the 'IntelliSound buds.' Later on when I was improving my advert I added and removed some things and so for the final cut of the advert the montage was re-created where i filmed around 3 scenes of a little girl doing things from her daily activities whilst using the 'IntelliSound buds' to create a small montage at the end of my ad showcasing its features, I also added a yellow screen because yellow represents happiness with a picture of the earbuds, its logo and Happy Foundations logo. After a version of my advert with transitions I liked it and i thought it was suitable for my advert so i decided to keep it for my final advert.

In the process of documenting my project, I conducted both primary and secondary research. The secondary research provided valuable insights into the preferences of my target audience and inspired ideas for the storyline of my advertisement. It enhanced my understanding of what resonates with the audience and how I could seamlessly integrate those elements into my advert.

On the other hand, the primary research played a crucial role in gauging people's preferences and determining how I could incorporate them into my advertisement. Additionally, it helped me acquire the necessary knowledge for effectively conveying the concept behind my advert.

To ensure a cohesive filming process and a polished final result, I crafted a script for my advertisement. This script serves as a guide, outlining what I will be filming and how to capture each scene. Its primary function is to maintain consistency throughout the filming process, thereby contributing to the overall quality of the final advert. Furthermore, the script laid the foundation for the creation of a storyboard, providing a visual representation of the shots that will be included in the advert and aiding in better planning and execution.
